Biography

Erik enjoys a broad range of practice areas including personal injury cases (motor vehicle), criminal defense (misdemeanors), and representing Homeowners’ Associations. Additionally, Erik works all traffic infraction cases for the firm and has been very successful in his handling of over 1,000 traffic hearings. Erik also occasionally works as a Judge Pro Tem and previously served as Commissioner for the Kent Municipal Court. 

Erik graduated with honors from the University of Washington in 2007 with a BA in philosophy, and received his JD from Gonzaga University School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  During his time at Gonzaga Law, Erik served as the Developmental Committee Chair and an Associate Editor for Gonzaga’s Law Review and was awarded 3L Associate Editor of the year.  Erik was also an associate editor for Gonzaga’s Journal of International Law. During his 3L year, Erik worked in Gonzaga’s University Legal Assistance, a non-profit clinical law program providing pro bono services to the local community.

Erik serves on numerous boards including the South King County Bar Association (president 2013-14), the Rotary Club of Kent (president 2019-20), and was formerly on the Board of Governors for the Washington Criminal Defense Lawyers Association from 2015-17. Erik enjoys serving his local community through the Rotary Club of Kent and mentoring high school students in the Communities in School Kent Program.

In his free time, Erik enjoys rock climbing, running, football, tabletop games, grilling, and theatre.
